Raid Group: Ideus' Run

Leader: Ideus (Skinzenbonz in the forums)

Schedule: Monday and Thursday 9:00 - 11:30+. We will finish around 11:30 but never later than 12:00.

Sign ups: In-Game Calendar 2 days in advance

Philosophy: Focused Progression

Roster: 12 regular raiders. 3-4 of those are core raiders that won't sit unless they volunteer. The remaining spots will rotate sitting. Core spots are fluid and represent an ideal rather than a fixed spot.

Rotations: The 8-9 rotating spots will be affected by content and raid balance but will more or less be a true rotation. Worst case (standard caveats...) a player might sit 1 in 4 raids (with 12 raiders) but the reality will likely be somewhere between 1 in 4 and 1 in 6. People are encouraged to post "prefer to sit" and "willing to sit" when appropriate. Missing a raid increases your chances of sitting in the near future that will not count as your normal rotation. Signing OUT, cancelling after the roster is set, no showing, leaving early, and not signing IN or OUT will all increase the likelihood to sit and could raise your sit rotation to once a week.

Attendance: Tighter rotation means few people sitting but it also means less depth to handle people missing. RL happens. We accept that. Raiders are expected to maintain an 85% attendance rate. Core spots will be over 95%.
Please considering making a note in the weekly targets post about being 'willing to sit' or 'prefer to sit' as well as volunteering to sit for farm bosses to bring in support toons. This will make the selection of who to sit for a night easier and help keep those that suppor the raid involved. If you sit for a night, this will count towards rotation.

Loot: EPGP with some LC
100 EPs/15 minutes with bonuses (Sign Ups, On Time, First Kills)
Standby points are available to raiders that 1) Sign up as IN 2 days in advance and 2) are online when the points are awarded
People are expected to consider the raid needs when NEEDing. Consider bidding minor upgrades when it is a minor upgrade so others can get the big upgrades and help move the raid forward. Members and initiates are treated same with respect to getting loot but there is a minimum 3K EPs for full consideration (about 4 raids)
In cases where there is LC, the raid will be made aware ahead of time if at all possible.
BOEs will be offered to those in the raid as normal loot (must equip). Raiders not present may receive the BoE for points with priority to toons on standby and online. Raiders not present in the raid will be charged as mainspec for all BoEs. Raiders may purchase BOEs at FULL price for alts that are regular attenders (not fill in) in another guild run. If in doubt as to whether you are a regular attender ask that run's RL. If no raiders want the item, it is available for sale to guilded toons at 1/2 AH price. Unclaimed items will be sold in the AH with the proceeds going to the guild bank.
We often have had the occasion where we needed a fill in. If it is a guildie we will use EPGP with no minimums to bid. If it is not a guildie then it is a modified roll (using Lootmaster built in rolls) if the non-guildie wants the item. If a guildie wins the roll it is distributed via EPGP ratio regardless who won the roll. Main spec will always trump off spec (as normal).

Expectations:
Be prepared with strats (including raid group tweaks) and consumables (for non-farm content)
Be solid in your role (above average at a minimum)
Focus on the raid (the sum is greater than the parts)
Sign up IN or OUT for every raid in the calendar, 2 days in advance. Maintain 85% attendance.
Consistent with attendance (RL happens but this is a commitment too) and stay for the full raid time
Good attitude
Be reasonably active in the forums (keep up with raid info at a minimum)
Have the required mods

Environment: Adult (R)
Vent and Raid Chat is adult. Profanity is likely but not excessive. Stay respectful and avoid things in poor taste.

Alt Policy: Discouraged but not prohibited
If an alt is present, they must pass to all raid toons for main spec items unless filling a role at the RL's request. Since EPGP is per account, loot on an alt will affect the ratio of the main.

Raid Provided Mats:
The raid will provide standard enchants and gems for raid gear for members that have passed their initiate period. The raid will provide a cauldrons and feasts for everyone.

Raid Timers: The short version? Save them all even if we aren't hitting that instance. We raid as a group for all current expansion content. Exceptions are listed below.
Timer Exceptions :
T12 timers are all off the reserved list.
BH is open but consider saving it until after the raid Thursday since we try and hit it after the raid.
It is your responsibility to ensure the integrity of your timer. If it is too difficult to figure out what was downed in the IR or in the PUG then don't PUG at all, ever.

This will be the pattern applied to all future content. When the content is nerfed, it is open season on Thursday's kills.

Good night in DS. We finally got a full clear. I'll post the pict later. t went down really pretty easy all things considered. Thanks to Anniston for filling in and not holding us back too much so we still got the kill.

After that we went in and rolled (mostly...) FL. Mojko got the mount... Gratz!

Next week we will do HMs. More to come on that!

Just a heads up. We will be prioritizing offspec tokens for Reisa and Ideus to get 4 piece tier bonuses. If a token is a clear upgrade, by all means take it but Offspec will trump Minor Upgrade for a bit. This will allow Reisa to catch up a little more and start sharing in the tanking duties and I will be able to use the 4 piece bonus for HMs.

Updated the roster list. This should be accurate in terms on main/off specs

Gofer is listed as a support spot but he is on the verge of being added to the rotation full time once he catches up on gear. Any fights where DPS is an issue, we will sub him out and sub him in when it isn't (assuming someone wants to sit).

One minor change relating to offspecs. Offspecs get charged 10% of the value. Some of us that have offspecs we spend a lot of time in are starting to lag behind in gear, especially for heroic content. If you are regularly performing offspec on HM fights feel free to bid Mainspec or Minor Upgrade. Keep in mind you will be charged full price.

Yep. Hybrids bet the 10% on offspec gear but if the really need/want a piece they can pay for full price (and compete with main-specs for it).

With the departure of MissB and Luss being out for several weeks, I have updated the roster. Freya and Gofer have full time spots. If there is a gear/performance issue for HMs I will still sub people out (anyone...) but I don't think that is really an issue.

We have 12 full time raiders. Given that we have a number of people signing out on a fairly regular basis, I am not confident this is large enough to cover us all the time.

Belivanth has agreed to fill in some when we are short and I plan on using him to DPS but may have him tank some. I will try and work him in as we worked in Gofer to this point (volunteers to bring him in on nights when he doesn't have a spot). Long term Belivanth would like to join us so it would be good to get him in when we can. If other runs are short and would like to bring Belivanth, I am pretty sure most weeks that won't be an issue. Just have him check the calendar and if we have 10 signed up not counting him, we should be good.

I am happy we got Hagara down but I noticed the buff BIG TIME on her especially the lightening phase. Hopefully we will pick up some speed. Make sure we are looking at the warlord, he is next!

With the 20% debuff, the bosses are now very close statistically to the original normal modes. It should be all about learning extra mechanics from now on.

I am still here if you guys need a Pally(holy/prot), lock(destro), mage(havent played since patch). Im not currently raiding on any toon. I would love to help, you guys are a great group of people that i enjoy raiding with. I hope i can find a spot again if needed.
